The Demon
Heart as hard as stone
Voice as cold as ice
Soul as black as coal
The demon is taking over
Every nerve in my body
Is changing for the worse
I cannot stop it
The demon is in control
Everyone around me
Stays away for the better
I would drown it
But it can swim
The monster inside me
Has broken through
And now I crumble
As I watch everyone I love suffer
Voice as cold as ice
Soul as black as coal
The demon is taking over

This is a chilling way to start out and it keeps me focused on the eeriness of the write and the way I do NOT like demons.. but this is a good poem .. good write.
