deep and dark

Confused, I walk this narrow path, there is so much snow covering the trees and the ground yet I am not cold. I am tired and my eyes are heavy, I sat down on the snow packed ground, my eyes close - my eyes open, over and over, time and time again. Feeling weary I slowly stand, it seems with no choice but to keep on walking. That is what I continue to do day after day, night after night, Same path, always snowing.
I would constantly wonder asking my self as I tried to remember what was happening with me - was it a possibility I was stuck in a continuous bad dream? A perpetual circle?
It was the dark of night and further down the narrow path I saw what looked like a large, glowing fire. It grew larger with every step I took. I stopped walking as I stared at this massive pit that seemed to have millions of small but deep pits, burning with flames that reached high in the night sky. It was hard to grasp what was before me. The path I had walked on for what seemed slow and long was almost invisible. I was so mesmerized with the unknown, frightened, consumed with fear. I could not speak, I could barely move.
I heard this voice behind me telling me I was expected, "they" were waiting for me. In a seconds time I could hear loud morbid screams, whispers of different sinister voices. pierced through me, them I felt a sharp stabbing over my entire body, the pain was over bearing. It was then when I saw my own blood seeping on the ground. I could see my arms, my legs as they were being consumed by dark shadows that flew around me as I was tortured, ripped apart, eaten. They had razor sharp claws that cut my flesh to the bone. I was put into one of the smaller, deeper pits as they would over and over, minute by minute torture me, pull my eyes out from their sockets, slicing my body to eat on, slapping, kicking me with great strength, I felt my bones being broken and crushed. A hellish night mare that would start then start over and over again.
A place unseen by the human eye, deep and dark - the Abyss...
