Burnt
Even when the flames roar with furry,
Even when I’ve got my bucket full of water,
Even when the blaze catches my speed,
How come I’m still burnt? It was a long time ago.
No amount of water could forget my past.
No amount could ever make the burn go away.
It’s a witch, but it won’t leave my side.
It doesn’t even have a kryptonite.
Burnt like rotten flesh but it smells so sour.
Burnt like hot chocolate but it leaves a mark.
Burnt like a branding iron but it’s too invisible.
Might as well make scars you can see.
And I’m left here to fend for myself.
Can’t rely on anybody else.
My earth is falling, better save yourself.
Please tell me you learned how to run.
Burn, burn, burn, please go away.
Rain, rain, rain, all day long.
I’d do anything just for a smile.
Then maybe I’ll stay for a little while.
Burnt like an ocean wave on the beached.
Burnt like the gases from your breath.
Burnt like thunder on your broken spine.
Burnt like you when you realize that this is the harsh reality.

Burnt like a branding iron but it’s too invisible.
