Never Let Them See You Cry
When someone sticks a dagger
In my heart
I shrug it off with a laugh.
My blood won't flow
My anger will not be seen
Because this feeds the phene who loves to be mean.
I will laugh the loudest
Be the clown of my own show
When someone hurts you, never let them know.
Karma will take care of its self
I won't expend my energy
I will sit back and laugh last.
Why give them what they want?
To see you hurt
You will never see the blood running down my shirt.
I wrap myself with metal wings
They protect me and keep me
From all that is cruel.
Some may think that I should lash out
But what would that prove
That their knife hit it's target?
I will never be that girl
My pain will never show
I will just wait on fate and let my anger go.
In my heart
I shrug it off with a laugh.
My blood won't flow
My anger will not be seen
Because this feeds the phene who loves to be mean.
I will laugh the loudest
Be the clown of my own show
When someone hurts you, never let them know.
