"Beyond" (prêlude)

        
       
Men typically lust for flesh
Women routinely desire romance of the heart
But here in our midst, it is
the opportunity to genuinely connect
       
It is not the mind
nor body, nor soul
It is something far beyond
   
Words prove difficult to find and explain it
Actions may attempt to fully display it
Relationships always suffer without it
Love does not wholly describe it
 
This, a prélude to it
