"Beyond"

      
       
Basic science principles teach
the universe is comprised of three
Solids, Liquids, Gases
All scholars agree
       
As these apply to the human form
we seldom hear, or discuss much
Few are willing to explore the depths of body, soul and spirit
It being easier to lean on the man versus woman crutch

Bodies are the solids, similar in basic structure
though different in male and female form
Facial hair, chests and reproductive systems differ
These we discuss, conversations well worn

Souls are liquid, sinew swayed by fluids circulating, connecting cells
The nervous system empowers us to act, react, share emotion
Some are more in tune than others, bow to the ladies
We must observe and develop the ability to emote, there is no magic potion

The spirit is gaseous, invisible, complex, elusive
unless one is keenly aware, with all five senses hyper-tuned
We may not see beyond the physical and emotional, the ability to sense
that which a minority can detect, requires effort, never assumed

Should we wish to experience mind bending, out-of-this-world orgasms
We must search beyond solid and liquid for this desirable gas thinner than air
Touch that which we cannot see, establish a spiritual bond
Relationships based upon the body and, or soul are never as fulfilling, beware

Oxygen, carbon dioxide, gases are far more precious
Without them, in mere minutes, we parish
This is common knowledge, yet we take it for granted
The vital importance of our spirit, rewarding when we most cherish
   
Phenomenal intimacy, stellar sex, derived
from complete comprehension and appreciation
of all that forms our universe, ourselves
No exaggeration, rather calculation and maturation

Social convention would have us believe
many spirits are dark and deceiving
Let us not subscribe to their publicity and propaganda
Whether the spirit be meek or bold, it is in need of receiving

Sincerely strive to know others from the inside, not just by their cover
Endeavor to first know their spirit, for all else is shallow
Study their eyes, ask inspired questions, listen closely, entirely
Quintessential presence speaks far beyond the flesh, be not callow
