Waste Not*** the tale of the prodigal child

I dreamed somewhere someone was crying
someone i'd never met before
sobbing loudly,her tear were heavy
as tidal wave rushing the shore

spilling from her core in agony
she wept and writhe with pain
i heard her... saw her... felt her
and could only hang my head in shame

all her monsoon moans, her tsunami tears
she trembled and wailed, the earth was quaking
as she erupted, exhaling a hot exasperated sigh
i felt her volcanic voice vibrating

she said how could you hurt me so
my child...after all i've done for you
fed you, sheltered you...i did my best
to make life beautiful for you

your every need and want
i tried my best to provide
but you scoffed at my efforts
cut down the trees i supplied

you have polluted my rivers
polluted my lakes and streams
cutting and poisoning the very breast
that you are suckling

dont you see your hurting yourself
in an attempt for bigger and better things
you have yet to grasp genuine appreciate for life's simple things
focusing for greener grass when what you have need watering

*yes that was a reminder
for going GREEN
take a look around
our planet is dying*

she said alas my best is never enough
you never even noticed the roses i grew
the careful attention to details i put into
each petal...i did that just for you

the intricasies of it's beauty
was my tribute to you
was my gift to you
as motivation to see you thru

it's essence,it's taste, it's smell
was all inspired by you
if i could love and cherish a rose that much
imagine how i feel about you

it was then i realized her turbulent tears
where not for herself but where pains of frustration
saving someone from themselves
has gotta be sheer and utter agitation

i heard her..saw her...felt her
all the anguish she compiled
Mother Earth weeps for us all
her lost prodigal child
