In Memory of Kody Allen (1995-2013)
I walk by the cold stones
Trying to find the right one
Looking to my left,
I see yours.
On my knees,
I wipe the leaves away.
A chill runs down my spine.
The words encrypted in the stone
Make tears run down my face
"In Memory of Kody Allen (1995-2013)
A beloved son, friend, and brother.
Taken by Death's cold twisted fingers
Rest in peace for we will see you again."
I lightly touched your name,
Wondering why.
Why were you taken in the from me
Why were you taken at all.
You were everything to me
Now I have nothing.
I look down in the grass
And see something silver.
A knife.
I pick it up and look around
No one is here.
I looked back at shining blade
And a second later....
I lie there dying,
Hoping to join you again
