To rise we must fall

 To win we need to learn,
To learn we need to fail,
To fail we need to fall,
To fall we must part the veil,

To part the veil we need to change,
To change we need to try,
To try we need to love,
To love we need to cry,

To cry we need to lose,
To lose we need our pain,
Our pain needs our heart,
Our heart needs our brain,

Our brain needs our thoughts,
Our thoughts need to feel,
To feel we need our perceptions,
To tell us what is real,

To know what’s real we need our faith,
To have faith we need our soul,
To have a soul we need belief,
To have belief we must pay the toll,

The price of which is an end,
To end we need to start,
To start we must take a chance,
To be completely torn apart,

To be so broken we must say hello,
To say hello we need to say goodbye,
To say goodbye we must have lived,
To truly have lived we all must die.
