Call a Spade what it is , A Spade
“Just call a Spade a Spade” he repeatedly warned me
You have a heart big enough to kill us all
But when the cards fall, the hearts crumble
You got a way to deal your deck
You've shuffled it so many times
Getting away with it so many times
Your spade flickers with creases, you have that look
The snap of your card could drop me dead here on the floor
The crisp feel of you've touch
It's the sweetest one I have come to know
A spade is spade, is whispered in my ear
Everything seems easy when the cards are stacked up, until it's complicated
The cards fall again and glide across the floor
We wake with our heads shaking, for the choices we have made
The deck shuffles again, can we call a spade a spade?
Well to call the whole thing stupid seems sorely understated
Can we dance a little longer with our suits in hand?
Can we simply just call a spade a spade?
You try awful hard to keep those diamonds hidden
You've have more suits to deal, a club for her to use
It is up her sleeve, she hid it when you came coming
It's time to leave, the suits were dealt,
Time for me to quit the game
52 cards to play with, It's high time now
Your suit gave me no clue, really?
Nahh, lay the cards as is..
The hearts for him to break
The Clubs for her to hit back
The Diamonds in the ruff he searches for
The Spades, Come on Ladies, It is just a spade!
“Just call a Spade a Spade” he repeatedly warned me
I chose to sit on the stool and play twenty-one
You have a heart big enough to kill us all
But when the cards fall, the hearts crumble
You got a way to deal your deck
You've shuffled it so many times
Getting away with it so many times
Your spade flickers with creases, you have that look
