A Fragile Strength in Question
In the spring of our new found love
Suddenly I feel an unseen weight in my cupped hand
I stretch out my fingers to the purpose of inspection
There in lays,
the power to hurt you
Delicately nestled hatch-ling sparrow
She sleeps here....
In the binding of gentle secrets
Streaming revelations confided of the soul bold enough to bestow
Into my valiant armor empowered with trust
There is a question in your look,
Are you concerned by the sprouting of rust?
This orb in my grasp,
could it be blown of thin glass?
A sphere forged to the ends of shattering
You feel steel in my chest
All this strength be used to protect
Which side of the coin am I?
Will I wring the life from your little neck
Is your devotion a charming song of true heart
Do you strum my tenderness in phantom rhythms
Does this gleam bathe in brooding tone of a rigid ruse unknown
Come to my abode this night,
We are to become one
Might we implode in languish before rising sun
