Bitter
Sky is stretched
As far as the eyes can see
A mass of thunderheads move in succession
Breeze sweeps against the pines
Birds chirp, perched upon branches of green canopies
Apollo blazes his beams piercing the billowy ceiling
Providing warm sustenance upon clay beings
Souls come alive in shadows
I'm surrounded by the outside
Washed in everything and sundried by ultraviolets
Kids at play feeling their laughter
I begin to desiccate
Moisture from inner being, escapes me
Clay begins to crack
Thoughts swim in around my head
Drowning in what she said
Our bitter love has been washed in ink
Apollo slowly descends as my day starts to end
I'm upside down world turned black
All I ever wanted to be
Is the moon upon your dawn
In your eyes when you rise
In your eyes!.., in your eyes!..
Yet what remains
I'm just dusk fading sun, no fire light
Why!.., why!.., why!..
Does this have to be my sky
My sky!.., my sky!.., my sky!..
