Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business on great waters; they have seen the works of the Lord, and His wonders in the deep.
Psalms 107:23-24
if you could get in a boat
and physically navigate through my mind,
if you could physically set sail on the waters of my being,
you would see that that the currents of these waters are still.
i’m not trying to make you feel as though you are on the water during a catastrophic hurricane,
storming you with all the moody winds of emotional word...

Money Grows on Trees
Money grows on trees
We live in a land where a piece of paper defines a mans worth. A piece of paper I said, separates a man who has a heart that beats, lungs that breath, legs to walk, eyes to see, lips that smile, and a soul that feels what is real out here in this world from another man with a heart that beats, lungs that breathe, legs to walk, eyes to see, lips that smile, and a soul that feels.

Sodom and Gomorrah
Sodom and Gomorrah
They mourn, they mourn
They mourn, they mourn
The horn is soon to blow.
For days and nights without an end
He's warned the few who know.
Wicked atrocities fill the land while
men and women kneel to sin the fire's
Brewing, craving man and waiting for the Makers hand.
Lucifer is all around even though you may not see, carbon dioxide will kill you
in a matter of minutes despite it's lack of visibility.
Open up your eyes I say,
The storm is right behind us.
The enemy so unfriendly and
Racing just...

In a Nation
Where money chasers
Don't make a way for
The people who stomach achin'
The only advice they gave em'
is pave your way
or be raisins.
You either prey over the money or you pray
up to God,
Whatever it is that you believe in
Love it with all your heart.
The money make you so hungry that you set your soul
on fire,
All because of the greed you burned out like
old tires.
But we need security we
can't even eat for free
and women tease for the
cheese
and people rattin' to be free.

The Wolf in Me
The wolf in me
You are my light in this darkness my
Rose who pushed her way out of the concrete
And Rose…Girl you really make me howl consistently.
As I sit under you I wonder who placed you
Way up there
So far from me
Yet so close at the same time
It hurts me every night when it is time for you
To go because I have to face reality
Again and perceive the world for what it really
Is.
Is this what it really is?
A huge mass of revolving crust filled with waters of unknown depths and land overpopulated by people...

Thirsty Branches
Vacant of leaves and longing
For some warm breeze to lift them up but
The bite of the wind and its glacial sting overshadow that wanting.
Sitting on this patio thinking
While my skin receives the chills every time the cold wind hits me like Babe in the 9th and makes me consider stealing base into my oven baked room
But na…I keep thinking about the world, and how cold it is
Wars against other nations leaving mothers without children and family members who have not seen each other in years finally getting to have a reunion

Mayday
-For my mother
Two decades have flown by.
I look back but the smoke blurs my vision.
Speaking of vision…
My wings have carried me this far so
Why land now?
It is the only way out.
Almost to the clouds that I see in my dreams,
Almost to your smile which my eyes have never seen.
Ill never see it if I do not chase it.
Ironic he flew on a one-way trip with your happiness,
But I was your luggage for nine months.
He left you and me.
Such a thief he was, such a thief he is.
That is one thing that I will not be.
