COMMITMENTS

I am binded by commitments of love. Internally my system convulses with heartbeats. A sucker for promises and a keeper of truths. Defined by my passions and sacrifices for all of you. Only one can keep me above water. The rest of you drown me in sorrow that you’ll never know. My ocean of tears keeps me afloat. I can only love. There’s nothing more I ask for. I give it my all and more but only one truly deserves me. So the rest of you must stop interrupting. Stop getting in the way. Move over, make way. My progress is not yours to control but for my love to decide. My heart is a palace and it should not be ruined. As many times as it has been attacked and tainted, it always rebuilds itself for another tenure.  Each time it grows stronger. Each time it glows brighter. Sentiments connect the beams. Memories cement the floor. Dreams paint the walls. Wishes hold the ceiling. Hope opens the door. Hold me. Console me. Show me the better side of my spirit that rises through the strength of your affections. My souls resurrection. Infect me with a better today, an anticipatory tomorrow. Let my past be my education to love better more. Sleep better nights and live better days. I’m a doorway to heaven and love is the key.
