Alternatively educated

We always bury the dead. Or at least were supposed to, according to tradition. But if you’re one of the alternatively educated types, then why limit yourself. The only reason people demonise what we do is because they have no idea how to do it. They wish they could. That’s why they hate us so much. Envious and hateful at the same time. Imagine a world where nobody died. Where instead of eternal damnation, you were allowed to live on and continue your sworn duties in this world. Keep your promises.

I watch him everyday

I watch him everyday. My life depends on it. I know his movements in and out. Well, at least i think i do. I have to. How he breathes. Which side he likes to sleep on when he's pretending to sleep. I know him more than i know my own wife.

We've been together for 6 years my wife and I. I've only met him twice before now. I've known him for exactly 7 days in total. You would'nt know it when i begin to describe him. He watches me too. Probably knows as much about me as i do about him. And he knows I know.  
 
We are stuck in this perpetual dance. Attempt after attempt....

He was always a special boy. He would sit in his cage and dream all day. It set his mind free. His favourite dream was being king. It could have been king of the land or of the skies, even the lake. Hermaphrodite

In the village of Phashasha just outside the Free State province, was a girl by the name of Salome. A drop dead gorgeous ultra violet sun ray absorbing magnificent girl. A face like a movie star. A body like moist clay. A voice like a gentle summer breeze. Of all the sisters in the family, all two of them, she was her mother’s pride and her mother would tell her so.

The story of Nkebe (names and locations have been changed)

Nkebe was an ordinary high school girl from South Springs in the East Rand region of Gauteng. Her mother was a traditional healer and her father worked in the mines so he was hardly ever around. She fancied herself in a life of opulence and so naturally behaved in accordance with such. Things didn’t quite turn out that way though. BUBBLE

I used to live in a bubble. A dark, slimy bubble. Too dark to pop because I couldn’t see where  I was. Lost, in my own bubble of dark slime. It wasn’t so bad in the beginning. Don’t get me wrong.
