It Wasn't Me
Why do I love you,
When it hurts so much?
I'm dying inside but you don't see it
Maybe this pain is too much
Or I'm just trying too hard to be what you want
My smile is now somewhat crooked
And my heart is chipping like wood
I'm breaking in 2s of 3s and 4s
I don't know how to settle this score
It's a disgrace how all I do is give you more
And all you do is take without noticing
You remind me of so many songs
That start off happy and end with it's tragic tone
And the writer ends up broken and crying
I feel stupid at the fact I thought I was the one lying
When it hurts so much?
I'm dying inside but you don't see it
Maybe this pain is too much
Or I'm just trying too hard to be what you want
My smile is now somewhat crooked
And my heart is chipping like wood
I'm breaking in 2s of 3s and 4s
I don't know how to settle this score
It's a disgrace how all I do is give you more
And all you do is take without noticing
You remind me of so many songs
That start off happy and end with it's tragic tone
And the writer ends up broken and crying
I feel stupid at the fact I thought I was the one lying
