Unheard

Being unheard kills you slowly
You scream, you yell to anyone close-by
But your words get silenced before they even make a sound
Everything is muffled, even your sigh

I'm always here for you, he said
I will never run away, he promised
But his promise was as false as his love
He was always dishonest

I loved the fact that he listened
I adored his smile
Now, I have no one who is wiling to listen
Everyone else is just like him; vile

I sit in a corner, drowning in my own tears
Listen to the beating of my heart
You were always alone, says my inner demon
You were crazy from the start

I cry and scream, in hopes of killing mu demon
But it just laughs evilly and gives me a sinister smile
I'm the only one who listens, he says
This corner and pain is your domicile

You want to say that he was lying
But know that it was the truth
So you waste away in a dirty corner
And kill your youth

You are disgusting, he sneers
You were never suppose to be born
You were trouble, a pest, a burden
Nothing but a thorn

You stare at his demonic face and silently laugh
Your words are getting redundant and old
The pain is becoming my friend
But no longer am I controlled

You pick up the blade, the gun, the knife
Which one will do the trick and end my life?
You smile and tell the demon that the weapon doesn't matter
In the end, I will still be heading towards afterlife

You cut, you bleed, but you don't scream
Your heart starts to die on its own
Your soul screams for help
But you end up dying alone
