Nothing To Fight For

My life is a war zone
I've been beaten to the bone
I have no reason to continue to fight
I have forever lost the light

My heart is a black abyss
Touched by despair's poison kiss
It lays torn and shattered
So why continue, I've lost all that once mattered?

My pride is lost in an ocean of doubt
I have no reason to scream, no reason to shout
No reason to hold my head high
So why stay, when all I want is to say goodbye?

There is nothing left for me here
So on this ledge I face my greatest fear
Can I bring myself to jump into oblivion?
Or will I be a coward, forever fighting a meaningless battle?
