Missing You

Siphamandla Nkokheli Memela

I miss you with every ounce of my being.
From the trenches of my deepest footprints
To the reaches of my highest hair follicle.
I miss you in a childish way that with your presence
Ignites that which was once departed
But by you blossoms like the sun worshipers of the fields
That follow thier god like I do to you and teaches me how to smile
With that same radiance or like he with fortune found
Or she to him or it to that or or or or............
Aah the folly of youth, forever fixed on lost fortune and regret
Oh my ceaseless love that's trapped in the dungeons of a forsaken heart
That's survived by an ancient river with no spring nor sea.
Dare no man say I never loved, dare no man say I never cared,
Dare no man say I never lost, but by this almighty lyric
Dare no man yearn this way again.
