A Story
I once told my mom a story
She happened to walk away
When she came back she had her own tale
One that happened to stay
"God made Adam and Eve
Not Adam and Adam
Nore Eve and Eve"
I once told my dad a story
I thought he would cry that day
He walked up to me,
His head down low
And told a story of his own
"The Devil is a liar,
And he has deceived us all"
I once told my brother a story
He stared at me for a while
No frown or smile
And of course he had a story
"Beggers can't be choosers,
And I happened to choose you"
Those words they said
Stayed in my head
But I still told my sister a story
My one of tales of sadness and glory
She kissed my cheek and made my day
And she told me she felt the same way
She loved both genders too
I wasn't all alone
She happened to walk away
When she came back she had her own tale
One that happened to stay
"God made Adam and Eve
Not Adam and Adam
Nore Eve and Eve"
I once told my dad a story
I thought he would cry that day
He walked up to me,
His head down low
And told a story of his own
"The Devil is a liar,
And he has deceived us all"
I once told my brother a story
He stared at me for a while
No frown or smile
And of course he had a story
"Beggers can't be choosers,
And I happened to choose you"
Those words they said
Stayed in my head
But I still told my sister a story
My one of tales of sadness and glory
She kissed my cheek and made my day
And she told me she felt the same way
She loved both genders too
I wasn't all alone
