Necronomicon by H.p Lovecraft (A review that i wrote for English )

‘This Gripping book will pull you in and allow your imagination to run wild ‘This book is truly a masterpiece. H.p Lovecraft used techniques within his writing that would chill you to the bone, whilst at the same time blowing your mind with the beautiful delicacy of his words  
Necronomicon is a book which is packed full of haunting tales of dire monsters and ghouls that will project in your mind clearly, as if the story was being played out in front of you, his masterpieces being so clear and detailed that it brings his words and thoughts to life.  
From fierce and frightful sea like creatures , to deserts , mystery’s , and the horror of the great Cthulhu (A giant octopus which has a human like body , that lives in the deep and dark waters ) , this really is a book that I would recommend , but if I was you , I would sleep with the lights on.  
It’s hard to bring to mind many disadvantages regarding his work but one that stands out to me is the language in which this book is written. Some words and contexts can be hard to understand, leaving you baffled as to what has gone on. For people who are not used to reading and analysing the language portrayed in this book, they may struggle to underline the key events which take place.  
Another disadvantage is that people could me baffled by how unrealistic and strange his stories are. For instance the story Dagon talks about a man who finds himself stranded surrounded by a grim site of fish and grotesque slime. And when the he sees a scaly grotesque silhouette with his very own eyes he starts to question his sanity which leads him to a life of worry and fear.  
Overall, this book is a fantastic read. Lovecraft is an amazing attribute to Literature and his stories and thoughts however weird and surreal they may at first seem deserve to be read and discussed by many as  in my opinion he is truly one of the greatest author’s ever to have put pen to paper  , his spectacular work being proof of this.   I would rate this book five stars.
