A Forbidden Love

Though by father denied
I my heart stolen away,
must see, never loose
From your romance, my serenades
Are not to be true,
But only to your fathers eyes
He shan’t know what happens in the night

Midst of night
Your voice is delicate,
Your smell is nectarous,
Though by morning you are tough
At twelve your warmth does not abate
My calls are safe midst of night

You are elegant during
Your sweet hearts visit
Darkness settles in
As does whispered eloquence

Soft conversations for my love only
Twelve to 6 in the morning
Soft laughter, pecking of lips on cheeks
Twelve to six in the morning

Or seven to eight,
Winter becomes my favorite
All because of
This forbidden love
I cherish the times when
Pitch black reigns

Twilights rise finds
Your swain knight
Gone, as silently as he came
In the midst of night

I do not mean to worry you
When I am belated
behind time, and only a minute
To lay upon soft shoulder my head

At suns peeking I
Though I linger
must fly.

Practice patience for
your inamorato forbidden.
Another day, another night
Until the nuptial rite,
Wait for your stolen heart
In the suns final depart
