yet I doubted you

constantly arguing
who's wrong who's right
trying to prove a point
out of despite because
I could have ended this fight
yet I chose to make matter worse
couldn't even wipe the tears off your face
you gave me your heart
and I let it slip right through my finger tips
didn't even catch you
I just let you fall
you were my shield that embraced my pain
the sword at hand that paved the way
sometimes I wonder if you made a mistake
trusting me in something I don't see
something you see in me i don't believe
