promise
a fissure of red cracks in the sky
both as clear as day and hazy as night
you told yourself to lie in your bed
and let the fire drain
yet in the end
did you make your promise?
a cowards light shines in your eyes
a childs fear begging forgiveness
empty hearts and loving minds
the darkness comes will you receive it.
words of wisdom whispered go
unheeded into a black hole
where demons scream and curse the night
and both crave and recoil from the light
but did you make your promise?
a cowards light shines in your eyes a childs fear crying forgiveness
empty hearts and loving minds
the darkeness comes will you receive it
look at you now
look at what youve done
are you well
are you having any fun?
can you see
the broken china on the floor
and just like me
can you even feel the pain anymore
a cowards light shines in your eyes
a childs fear screaming forgiveness
empty hearts and loving minds
the darkness had come
did you receive it?
both as clear as day and hazy as night
you told yourself to lie in your bed
and let the fire drain
yet in the end
did you make your promise?
a cowards light shines in your eyes
a childs fear begging forgiveness
empty hearts and loving minds
the darkness comes will you receive it.
