Shoulder Devil

Every time I step into a naughty situation
A voice in my head says, 'This will lead to damnation!
Leave while you're innocent and won't be punished with incarceration!'

Then another voice says, 'Go ahead and do it, it'll make your friends think you're cool
You don't wanna be remembered as the cowardly fool
Who passed on an opportunity to do drugs and skip school!'

I take both suggestions into consideration
Then choose the latter so I can receive validation
From the rebellious cool kids who live in sinful procrastination

Obviously the shoulder angel wasn't too convincing
And the shoulder Devil's advice was more appealing
So I constantly do bad things without ever regretting

What can I say? I was born to be a rebel
I'll take this time to give a shout-out to my awesome shoulder Devil
