in the world, my world
a place where the sun never rises
the night never sleeps
the moon doesn't glow
the grass doesn't grow
the sky isn't blue or white
but back and red
in this place
animals don't stir here
no one smiles here
every thing is black
the trees are all dead
the people are bleck and lifeless here
total nothingness here
in this place
house windows are broken
smashed in years ago
the flowers once pretty
now withered
houses are abandoned
forgotten for good
in this place
balls still lay outside
a reminder of what once was
lives rotting away
broken dreams lay shattered
the golden gates now rusted and bent
nothing but empty darkness
in this place
and there are people like me
who chose to face this place
to live and survive here
in this place
i call home
the night never sleeps
the moon doesn't glow
the grass doesn't grow
the sky isn't blue or white
but back and red
in this place
animals don't stir here
no one smiles here
every thing is black
the trees are all dead
the people are bleck and lifeless here
total nothingness here
in this place
house windows are broken
smashed in years ago
the flowers once pretty
now withered
houses are abandoned
forgotten for good
in this place
balls still lay outside
a reminder of what once was
lives rotting away
broken dreams lay shattered
the golden gates now rusted and bent
nothing but empty darkness
in this place
and there are people like me
who chose to face this place
to live and survive here
in this place
i call home
