The Moons Eyes (The Lone Samurai Moon)
When I was 19
I had already killed 4 people
I knew not why I had this strength
This speed or precision
To cut a man down before he can move
To send him to another realm
It was like there were four of me
Swinging down in all directions
Like a pack of mad wolves surrounding its prey
It was the fire in my eyes
That burned like the sun
A man could have many tricks
But skill and passion were not one of them
I remember my sword, cutting elegantly
Through a mans torso, splattering his blood on a nearby tree
I just stood there, sword still extended
Staring at this tree, like it was art
A master piece of the ages
As I walked home that night I thought of that tree
Unaware of the young man who came behind me
Holding a dagger and shouting I killed his father
I approached the man to talk to him
He swung cutting through my eye and down my cheek
I drove my sword through him wincing in pain
A foolish mistake
I left him on the streets
I left my heart with him
I had already killed 4 people
I knew not why I had this strength
This speed or precision
To cut a man down before he can move
To send him to another realm
It was like there were four of me
Swinging down in all directions
Like a pack of mad wolves surrounding its prey
It was the fire in my eyes
That burned like the sun
A man could have many tricks
But skill and passion were not one of them
I remember my sword, cutting elegantly
Through a mans torso, splattering his blood on a nearby tree
I just stood there, sword still extended
Staring at this tree, like it was art
A master piece of the ages
As I walked home that night I thought of that tree
Unaware of the young man who came behind me
Holding a dagger and shouting I killed his father
I approached the man to talk to him
He swung cutting through my eye and down my cheek
I drove my sword through him wincing in pain
A foolish mistake
I left him on the streets
I left my heart with him
