Lately

lately there has been so much stress
to get out of this financial mess
although a solution could be at hand
if only we were able to take a stand
you blame it all on me and I am
not allowed to question you
if only we could pick something and see it through
but I get the feeling that this will be tough
nothing I suggest is deemed good enough
it has to be millions
the all or nothing mentality
on the horizon so many more options I see
if only you were willing to engage with me
perhaps it would be best to go separate ways
with possibility of potential for better days
