Life As I Know It
life as I know it
a thin webbed disguise
of demons and devils
dancing inside
a half empty bottle
a half empty bed
a half empty soul
a half empty head
I look in the mirror
and what do I see
a picture of you
a picture of me
a picture of four
a picture of three
a picture of life
as it was meant to be...
the old man
takes one last drag
from his cigarette
and throws it
into the ocean
he looks back
at the beach
flips it the finger
and says goodbye
a thin webbed disguise
of demons and devils
dancing inside
a half empty bottle
a half empty bed
a half empty soul
a half empty head
I look in the mirror
and what do I see
a picture of you
a picture of me
a picture of four
a picture of three
a picture of life
as it was meant to be...
the old man
takes one last drag
from his cigarette
and throws it
into the ocean
he looks back
at the beach
flips it the finger
and says goodbye
