Pandora's Box
A black box sat in the dark
So alluring, my mind couldn't depart
The thought of all my dreams
Attainable, was it all it seems?
To be a pretty little thing
Is what I want to be
Opened, holding nothing but a mirror
Hungry but disgust is my barrier
To be a happy little thing
Is just what I want to be
The box opens; I see sparkling
Silver metal gleaming deadly at me
To be an adored little thing
Is what I really want to be
Taken care of by someone special
But trust lost I only see the devil
To be an unaware little thing
I really wish I could be
To be lost in a fantasy
But is it worth losing sanity?
To be content with just me
Is what I really should be
But the dark box stays empty
Even it can't help little helpless me
So alluring, my mind couldn't depart
The thought of all my dreams
Attainable, was it all it seems?
To be a pretty little thing
Is what I want to be
Opened, holding nothing but a mirror
Hungry but disgust is my barrier
To be a happy little thing
Is just what I want to be
The box opens; I see sparkling
Silver metal gleaming deadly at me
To be an adored little thing
Is what I really want to be
Taken care of by someone special
But trust lost I only see the devil
To be an unaware little thing
I really wish I could be
To be lost in a fantasy
But is it worth losing sanity?
To be content with just me
Is what I really should be
But the dark box stays empty
Even it can't help little helpless me
