Can we see?

I’ve been mind blocked by the demons inside of me
Hiding the truth from the letters that were soon to be
Exposed to the world to show their fraud
Of the deal they made with the lord to keep me quiet.

It’s better late than never
When it comes to so many things in life
Things we might regret in the future
And the things we could wish we would have done,
leaving us wondering what could’ve been of our lives
If we would have gone with our gut
But instead we are left with the bitter taste
Of our own decisions that are now too late to amend
Too late to seek forgiveness or strength for revenge.

It’s so easy to forget who you are
When your vision is blurred by deception,
When disappointment is all you expect of others,
You might as well turn yourself into the darkness
That will always be there and will never let you see
That spark of hope that feels life with true meaning
But hope is the door-opener for pain
Shall that pain be worth the trust you place on it
You can only find the answer by experiencing it first hand
And making it into your own, little bit of happy illusion.
