Finally Seen

 Reached to that dead end.
I can see I'm transparent.
Another nook in the brick wall,
Overlooked and virtually useless.

 If you had the chance,
Would you take my place?
Words I hear repeatedly,
But I can feel the lying pity.
Yeah,
That's all it is.
Do I really look that pitiful,
And helpless?

 I feel as if,
You just choose to look past me.
I've came to terms with it.
Knowing I'm just another face,
Among billions.

 Yet when I shed tears,
I have a shoulder for them to land.
On days I can't seem to smile,
I get a tight hug,
And a comforting gaze.

When things seem to deafen around me,
I still hear her voice,
Pushing to get me up again.

 In simple terms.
I've found someone,
Who wouldn't abandon me when things go dark.
She's my rock it seems.
How'd I get this far?
..Because I had you.

 Before,
We were two faces in a crowd.
Strangers with barely spoken words.

 Look at us now.

 You know who I am,
Before I even did.
I've never had that,
Someone who actually looks at me.

 You saw me,
When no one else did.

   I love you.

:This poem was inspired and is dedicated,
To my little sister, who caught me when I was freefalling. I owe her the world and beyond. I love you, Skyla. Thank you for seeing me.
