Day Dreaming of Your Nightmare
On the darkest hour
Of your darkest night
Comes your darkest dream.
It devours.
On the red laden horizon
Lay your red laden eyes
Because your red laden dream
Didn't let you rest.
The golden sun
Burns deep holes
In each inch of skin
It penetrates.
Are you awake?
Are you alert?
You're burnt and rigid.
Better than fluid and frigid.
Let us not revisit
January in the Northern Pacific.
Of your darkest night
Comes your darkest dream.
It devours.
On the red laden horizon
Lay your red laden eyes
Because your red laden dream
Didn't let you rest.
The golden sun
Burns deep holes
In each inch of skin
It penetrates.
Are you awake?
Are you alert?
You're burnt and rigid.
Better than fluid and frigid.
Let us not revisit
January in the Northern Pacific.
