Oh wow man, I barely have any words because that poem just took them all away. So incredible and real; insane and haunting. I can see your stream of consciousness running through your words like a cascade over broken and jagged brown stones. There is a rhythm to it as one from a broken and worn drum; to which only those who have contacted that strange side of life can dance to.

to me this sounds uncertainty of ones true self, someone wholly decent and over looked by "the man on the street" OR a complete bastard/s
does this person really care thanks to his diet of pills and coffee, and going by the photos ive seen, spending a great deal of time on the beach in the sun
perhaps in some absurd sense we could view the person in question as perfect, in terms of the whole yin yang idea. on the other hand we could say hes human, as are those that ignore him.

excellent/fascinating commentary
this person has long ago seen this 'true self' bit as little more than a ploy of ego to make believe it 'knows' something. A rather sad state of being that we've all inherited, & the cause of conflict, pain, & suffering among we humans way beyond necessary......me beach bum life is a matter of pure serendipity as per a very minimalist fixed income...I as well am kind of being paid to stay away from the amerikan workplace as 'management' always seems to think I'm fomenting discontent among my fellow paid-slaves.
One's own contradictions is nothing to be ashamed of..nor proud(both are poison) as the illusions they evoke are more befitting of our contrivances of 'reality' than anyone would dare entertain an 'awareness' of.........buttwaddu I know?

im sure ur right when u say that pride and shame are both poisons, but its not all bad. the lions poison can fuel productivity, provide motivation, and generally make the world turn, if only a little bit. of course toxicity is easy and theres many an arsehole in the world.
