Puppeteer
I hit my knees and scream your name
looking for escape
but you are deaf you don't hear me
like some demented puppeteer
do you like to watch me scream
How many times i've walked away until
you pulled my string
It's agony this game we play
this back and forth this pleasure/pain
but I've news for you
I've cut my strings
no more will I dance for thee
I am not your pretty marionette
wanting waiting on a shelf
until you are all by yourself
no more for you
I will smile
while you play me for a while
No more for you I will dance
twisting on your string
looking for escape
but you are deaf you don't hear me
like some demented puppeteer
do you like to watch me scream
How many times i've walked away until
you pulled my string
It's agony this game we play
this back and forth this pleasure/pain
but I've news for you
I've cut my strings
no more will I dance for thee
I am not your pretty marionette
wanting waiting on a shelf
until you are all by yourself
no more for you
I will smile
while you play me for a while
No more for you I will dance
twisting on your string
