To Warm Your Cold Heart
My reflection stands stark against the icy mirror image of a summer once passed
holding truth in its cheeks, beggs to burst past the seams
tears scream
"this is not forgiveness, this is murder and you're laughing at it"
this isn't some childish dream, hold your head up
This is not forgiveness, this is murder and you're laughing at it
My eyes are still blind to the sun
and these ears cannot hear my heart beat anymore
Theres no rest when I sleep
No tears when I weep
No love when we fuck and my
Skin crawls
at the sound of your name
as it enters my veins and leaves
hatred and alcohol all in its wake
I've been building a fire and it's my desire
to warm your cold heart
as I'm burning it
at the stake
holding truth in its cheeks, beggs to burst past the seams
tears scream
"this is not forgiveness, this is murder and you're laughing at it"
this isn't some childish dream, hold your head up
This is not forgiveness, this is murder and you're laughing at it
My eyes are still blind to the sun
and these ears cannot hear my heart beat anymore
Theres no rest when I sleep
No tears when I weep
No love when we fuck and my
Skin crawls
at the sound of your name
as it enters my veins and leaves
hatred and alcohol all in its wake
I've been building a fire and it's my desire
to warm your cold heart
as I'm burning it
at the stake
