Desolate Normality
Opening my mouth, with words unspoken,
Breathing in the shattering hearts
And screaming from my stereo.
An attempt to medicate my constant wounds.
Living word by word
To each intricately written song.
Drinking this water that’s forever dry.
Walking, dazed in a daily routine of loneliness,
Solely wanting to wake up.
Spinning in the desolation of my room,
Searching for some sense of ease.
Hesitation pulling at each string
Attached to my forever painstaking heart,
Allowing no love to tickle its surface,
Leaving it black and unknown.
Coloring away the tragedy,
With dyes and makeup….
Yet still feeling it’s aftermath.
Wondering if all of this….
Is typical?
Solemnly laughing at the simplicity
Of all of their minds.
Unlike my complexity….
Left misunderstood.
Judgment being passed undeservingly,
Pushing me into isolation.
Opening my mouth, with words unspoken,
Breathing in any attempt at normality.
Breathing in the shattering hearts
And screaming from my stereo.
An attempt to medicate my constant wounds.
