My Break Up
My day was dark, our night was fire
You spoke of death - our life, with no desire
I cried like rain and you yelled like thunder
The fire was out, leaving my life a blunder.
I saw a life through all the smoke and pain
Walking away in hope of this new life to gain
With every new sunrise washing away the past
My heart is happy, free, and alone at last.
