Trail of Tears

In the chronicles of  history are found such deplorable acts,
where the guilty are exposed by the recording of facts.

One of the most heinous mass murders these records recall,
was genocide committed by those, not, looked up to by all.

" It will be my sincere and constant desire to observe toward the Indian tribes within our limits a just and liberal policy, and to give that humane and considerate attention to their rights and their wants which is consistent with the habits of our government and the feelings of our people"
" There are no necessary evils in government, Its evils exist only in its abuses"

Quotes, from the 7th president of the United States of America, Andrew Jackson

(About.com American History)

The death of so many innocent victims, struck down by greed with the stroke of a pen,
This heartless leader then gave the order for this Evil march to begin.

While these politicians were wining and dining with their self righteous charms,
Babies were crying and dying in their mother's frozen arms.

When the deadly journey was through, misery yet fed,
Left behind on The Trail of Tears, Four Thousand were dead.

(atrocities need few details to paint their portrait of shame)
