Between you and me
there is no room for mistakes
you have made this a high stakes game
Excuses are hard to come by
you leave me no margin for error

Your moods I have learned to read like a book
my reactions I temper to keep the peace
you can go for days and not speak
me, I find myself at a loss without your voice
you change the rules all the time
I tossed the rule book out the door
when i met you

Just between you and me
somedays I do not understand
What I have done to make you mad
but never underestimate my desire
to right the wrong

You always assume I will be around
no matter how you treat me
you assume I will put up with
the never ending mood swings
without protest or one word said
I hope that's true. .....
