No Idea
It is my attention you hold
With just a glance of your eyes
A brief hint of a smile
Or one light lingering touch
Down my arm, with a slight squeeze of the wrist
You have no idea how your hands
Across the small of my back
Leaving a tingling trail of anticipation
In their wake.
You have no idea how much I have come
To need your touch
To feel you next to me when we sleep
The way you snuggle up to me just before you fall asleep.
The way reach for my hand all through the night
The smile on your face before we wake
With the morning sun warming your skin
The peace that I crave
I have found in your arms
It is with protest that I leave your bed
It is with protest that I
Leave the temptation that I see
To face yet another day
With just a glance of your eyes
A brief hint of a smile
Or one light lingering touch
Down my arm, with a slight squeeze of the wrist
You have no idea how your hands
Across the small of my back
Leaving a tingling trail of anticipation
In their wake.
You have no idea how much I have come
To need your touch
To feel you next to me when we sleep
The way you snuggle up to me just before you fall asleep.
The way reach for my hand all through the night
The smile on your face before we wake
With the morning sun warming your skin
The peace that I crave
I have found in your arms
It is with protest that I leave your bed
It is with protest that I
Leave the temptation that I see
To face yet another day
