ABSURDITY!
Locked in, my iris fisted tight
I observe the winged monsters,
The lady in black skulking in the woods,
The shifters baying at the moon and the tide,
Even the mermaid’s adagio death song
Splayed among the other bloating fish;
But the Cyclops blinked the vision away!
Yet just beyond my pointing finger is the world
To the right, third row, ninth window down
Closest to the corner, near the street light
Where my lover, my significant enthusiast,
Turns me into to a mythical theory before
He rings the doorbell and removes another chakra.
I am prone to the psychological need of hallucination;
A slight turn of preferred right-brained dominance
Which can fuck a bitch up when endeavoring to execute
A graceful movement, a duet sequence, a feat
So bold as to point a gun and fire point blank!
This is the easiest way to open the third eye chakra
Of self-realization regarding dispassionate passion.
I cured him permanently of my gloomy stagnation
Caused by his emotional rejection of which he had come
Prepared to explain away via metamorphosis
Into someone I did not know nor understand.
Of course, I knew his notions were absurd!
So, before he perjured our entire history
I prevented the carnage his words
would have provoked.
