This Fear of Mine

I have this fear
As you are aware
You know I worry

But what you don't know
About my fear
Are all the things I keep buried

I cannot put it in words
Oh no!
I can't bring myself to say-

I feel it would curse
My hearts start pounding
The fear night and day

I can't tell you
About this fear of mine
I can't even bring myself to write it

I'm paralyzed with fear
Literally, Physically
Immobilized by it

I have this fear
As you are aware
And I know that you care

I want to explain it
To make you understand
But this fear cannot be shared.

Perhaps, you just shouldn't bring it up
Try to ignore it like me
Though it chills me to the bone

Please, don't even ask
Don't try to read my mind
I'll face the world alone
