Flames of Fire
Hard times
in the world
battles -
fiercly driven
madness
We shake our
heads but can't
escape
I bow my head
for peace in
the world
a snowdrop reaching
for the light and
needing rain
but
cast in the shadows
the aching feelings
driving us down
the groaning tones
of the trees wanting
the night luminous
hope, maybe
We're carefully
weaving our destinies
in the shades that
keep us attached
to the universe
The vision we
have of service
to the troubled
and forgotten
We hold up
our torches
toward the
muted sounds
of joy
which
light our
way
again
and
again
in the world
battles -
fiercly driven
madness
We shake our
heads but can't
escape
I bow my head
for peace in
the world
a snowdrop reaching
for the light and
needing rain
but
cast in the shadows
the aching feelings
driving us down
the groaning tones
of the trees wanting
the night luminous
hope, maybe
We're carefully
weaving our destinies
in the shades that
keep us attached
to the universe
The vision we
have of service
to the troubled
and forgotten
We hold up
our torches
toward the
muted sounds
of joy
which
light our
way
again
and
again
