I should've listened,
Everyone warned me to run from you,
"Don't fall for it" they said
But you see, I wasn't ready to be saved
I had hope for you,
For us.
So instead I took a leap on faith
I kept my eyes closed,
I didn't want to see myself falling,
Somehow I knew you were bad news,
I just wanted to believe a lie
Fake promises for false security,
I had no idea what you'd do to me..
I hung on to every word you said,
You spoke the life into me,

I spent too much time with this,
The same shit, different days..
But I let go,
And I've never felt more complete.
self love is the best love,
Realizing it will never be
And damn baby..

What a shame when you see she ain't me.
