Morte
You wipe away the silver tracks
And the rain starts again
Push the weight off your back
But still the pain remains
An itch where your Nile flows
A banging on your greymatter
A shaking in your fingers and toes
Blocking air where it matters
Fear? I fear nothing. I fear the nothing.
I fear everything.
It's kissing me senseless, holding me tight
It's slowly killing me with fright.
The light is on.
It's dark inside.
Moans and groans from pain unseen
I never really know what they mean.
Hit me in the head, I might feel better.
Let me bleed, maybe it'll come out
The demon that continues to mutter
"There's no way out, no way out"
Beat my body, yes, bruise me
Maybe the dark spots would shame the darkness in me
Pull my heart out! Pull my heart out!
Squeeze it, squeeze it out!
Please...please...please.
Then let me go
My paper's now tear stained and creased
Take me out of this silly show
Set me free
Let me fly
Unhand me
Let me die.
And the rain starts again
Push the weight off your back
But still the pain remains
An itch where your Nile flows
A banging on your greymatter
A shaking in your fingers and toes
Blocking air where it matters
Fear? I fear nothing. I fear the nothing.
I fear everything.
It's kissing me senseless, holding me tight
It's slowly killing me with fright.
The light is on.
It's dark inside.
Moans and groans from pain unseen
I never really know what they mean.
Hit me in the head, I might feel better.
Let me bleed, maybe it'll come out
The demon that continues to mutter
"There's no way out, no way out"
Beat my body, yes, bruise me
Maybe the dark spots would shame the darkness in me
Pull my heart out! Pull my heart out!
Squeeze it, squeeze it out!
Please...please...please.
Then let me go
My paper's now tear stained and creased
Take me out of this silly show
Set me free
Let me fly
Unhand me
Let me die.
