He looks so tired
eyes seem dull and pale
looking a bit ruff
needs patched up
if only I had some thread
he's down on his luck
probably needs a buck
he might not have much
but I love the way
his smile lights up
the rest just fades away
his hugs mean the world
embracing and warm
for a moment I feel whole
in his loving hold
