"The Last of My Kind"
We were once a proud and beautiful race
But everything we are now lies in waste.
The destruction of my kind began within
When news broke out of political corruption.
My kind stood up and my kind spoke out.
Stubborn and old, our leaders ignored us.
Tired and angry, my kind revolted.
And so ignited the flames of war.
They burned bright and indiscriminately,
Consuming all in their path.
They grew larger and more violent
As time came and passed.
When the flames burned out
After many wasted years,
Only I remained, stricken by fear,
For the enemy had won,
They decimated my kind.
But they failed at one thing;
They could not control my mind.
Though broken and wounded,
I stand tall once again.
I now march through these fields
Full of death and despair,
With blunt weapons at hand
And armor in disrepair.
I am only one man
And I know what awaits.
I feel Death's touch
As I approach these massive gates.
I bang my shield and let out a yell
The two massive gates begin to dispel
A legion of troops then soon appears
Armed with rage and razor sharp spears
They take their formations
And completely surround me.
With my shield at the ready
And my sword in my hand,
I charge them directly;
I make my final stand.
The sound of breaking bones
And tearing flesh fills the air
Diligently I fought, but to no avail
My final mission, I completely failed.
Dismembered and blinded
They left me to die.
Blood filling my lungs,
I fight for my last breath.
Bleeding profusely,
I would soon greet Death.
Bleeding profusely
Dismembered and blind
I would die silently
As the last of my kind.[/font]
