The Knife
And the knife was plunged into me
and i began to bleed
Tears fell from my eyes
and
flooded my whole body
i couldn't scream nor cry;
for the shock was too great
and my mind was
blank
I reached one hand forward,
calling for you as the other
held
the wound; my love
you didn't answer,
but watched, turning the knife
in your hand
Your face was cleared,
your eyes without emotion
and I sunk to
my knees, weakness overtaking
me
why?... why?
how could you?
You who claimed to love me;
who said the sun and moon
couldn't
compare to thine beauty
my love, my dear, my darling...
why?
And as my knees
met the ground,
I stared down, removing my hand
from my wound...
Blood
Blood everywhere
and from you?
nothing
And I laid down,
flat on my back
staring at
the sky
the sky you promised me
the darkness began to
close
in on me and i knew i was
almost there
And as my soul flew upwards,
my mind opened
to me one last time
And I knew...
Forever meant never
and i began to bleed
Tears fell from my eyes
and
flooded my whole body
i couldn't scream nor cry;
for the shock was too great
and my mind was
blank
I reached one hand forward,
calling for you as the other
held
the wound; my love
you didn't answer,
but watched, turning the knife
in your hand
Your face was cleared,
your eyes without emotion
and I sunk to
my knees, weakness overtaking
me
why?... why?
how could you?
You who claimed to love me;
who said the sun and moon
couldn't
compare to thine beauty
my love, my dear, my darling...
why?
And as my knees
met the ground,
I stared down, removing my hand
from my wound...

Blood everywhere
and from you?

And I laid down,
flat on my back
staring at

the sky you promised me
the darkness began to
