THE SUN WAS FIRST
THE SUN WAS FIRST
The sun was first to greet you ...
in your warm and cosy place
Lighting up the bedroom ...
as it gently kissed you face
As it moved across the duvet ...
it touched your shiny hair
It joined you for a little while ...
as you were sleeping there
The sun was first to kiss you ...
upon your tender lips
As I lay there beside you with ...
my arm across your hips
The sun it checks you out each day ...
just a warming loving scan
Then lets you rise in privacy ...
without a bedroom tan
The sun was first to love you ...
As from a child you've grown
She's swathed you oh so softly
As if you were her own
